Privacy policy
This is Janus Tiu's portfolio. It has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no cookies, and we don't sell or share information about you. Here's exactly what happens when you visit.
Who we are
This site is run by Liftyz Consulting Inc. (“Liftyz”, “we”, “us”), Janus Tiu's company, based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. If you have a question about this policy or your information, email hello@janustiu.com.
What's collected
Anonymous visit statistics
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you. It records things like the pages viewed, the site that referred you, your browser, operating system and device type, and your country. Your IP address isn't stored; visits are told apart with a temporary hash that's discarded within a day. We only ever see totals.
Server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's servers handle technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser and the time, to deliver the site and keep it secure. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Fonts and code from other services
Typefaces load from Google Fonts, and the 3D library behind the keepsake box loads from jsDelivr. Your browser fetches these directly, so those services receive your IP address and browser details when it does. See Google's privacy policy and jsDelivr's privacy policy.
Your sound setting
If you turn the site's sound effects off or on, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so it's remembered next time. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it by clearing this site's data in your browser.
If you email us, we'll have your email address and whatever you write, and we'll use them only to reply to you.
Projects and links
Each project in the collection is its own website. When you open one in the browser window on this site, it loads directly from that project's own host, and anything you do there falls under that site and its host, not this one. Links to other sites, such as Instagram and GitHub, take you to services with their own privacy policies.
What we don't do
- No advertising, tracking pixels or cross-site tracking.
- No selling, renting or trading information about visitors.
- No accounts, and no collecting of names, addresses or payment details.
Your choices and rights
You can browse the whole site without giving us any personal information. Depending on where you live, including under Canada's privacy law, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. The only such information we could have is an email you sent us; write to hello@janustiu.com and we'll take care of it.
Children
This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If the way the site handles information changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
